Q #9 I have interest in playing in college. Can you help?
Absolutely! Our club has been in the Junior Olympic volleyball business for twelve years now. Over those twelve years, we have developed relationships with our extensive database of college coaches across the country at EVERY level. Coaches that understand when the athlete's academics are a priority, she has an above average understanding of the game of volleyball, and can play at a level that separates him/her from others....we are an email or a phone call away.
Participants in our Junior National program will be given the opportunity to compete in some of the biggest events USAV and JVA have to offer. These events are target-rich environments for college coaches from across the nation to get out and recruit. When it comes time for you to take those steps, count on us to assist with a recruiting video, develop your player bio, and our Recruiting 101 seminar....all free of charge!
If college volleyball is a dream of yours, and you have the desire, commitment and skill level to back it up....we can help. Just ask any of our over 80 former athletes that have gone on to the next level!
Q #10 Who will be training/coaching my daughter/son?
A very popular question, and one that is difficult for us to put on paper until after our teams are set. Until the tryouts/commitment period dust settles, and in all fairness to you....plugging coaches into specific coaching assignments is something we like to wait on.
That being said, know two things going in;
1) Each of our coaches have many years of both coaching and playing experience at the USAV, high school and/or college levels. To ensure the quality of instruction being provided to our athletes remains second-to-none, each of our coaches are required to complete the IMPACT certification, as well as a background screen completed by the Badger Region and USA Volleyball. Most of our coaches have completed the CAP I certification as well.
In addition, and no different than any successful high school program, we implement a proven club-wide training system each season. Under the guidance and direction of our Coaching Advisors, our Junior National coaches serve as lead instructors for their specific age group. These lead instructors will develop practice itineraries for all teams within their age group to ensure consistent training techniques for both Regional and Junior National players.
2) Our 2010-11 Coaching staff will be posted on our web site in the next few weeks!
